Day 1: THESSALONIKI-LARNACA-LIMASSOL
Thessaloniki - Athens - Thessaloniki - Athens International Airport. Arrival - boarding buses for a visit with pilgrimage to the Holy Church of St. Lazarus in Larnaca, one of the most important historical and religious sites in Cyprus, combining rich history, architectural beauty and spiritual devotion, being an important attraction for both believers and visitors.Departure for Limassol with check-in at the hotel. Free time to stroll mainly along the coastal front is one of the most impressive and busy parts of the city, offering a combination of nature, culture and modern life. It stretches along the coastline and is a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike. Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 2: LIMASSOL-TROOD - CYCLONE ISLAND
Mykonos-Mykonos-Montenegro, Mykonos-Montenegro, Mykonos-Montenegro, Mykonos-Montenegro. Tour of a magical route with green resorts where the picturesque villages of Troodos with the thousand-song Platres, known also from the poetry of Seferis, Pedoulas, Prodromos, spring up. In the village of Troodos we will make a short stop in its square to take pictures of the panoramic landscape of the mountain range. Our next stop is the holy monastery of Kykkos, where we will see its impressive temple in its sanctuary. Here is the famous icon of the Virgin Eleousa of Kykkos, which, according to tradition, was painted by the Evangelist Luke, as well as the magnificent ecclesiastical museum inside the monastery. A little further on is the site of Throni of Panagia, where the icon of the Virgin Mary dominates, as well as the tomb of Archbishop Makarios 3rd, the first president of Cyprus. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: LIMASSOL-PAFOS
After breakfast, departure for Paphos, one of the most picturesque and historically rich cities of Cyprus, known for its archaeological heritage, natural beauty and cultural significance, located on the southwest coast of the island and considered the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. On our way we will see the exterior of Kolossi with the medieval fortress of Colossus of Jaeta.Then a stop at the Romiou stone where, according to mythology, this is where the goddess Aphrodite was born from the foam of the sea.It is one of the most famous beaches in Cyprus, with an impressive natural landscape.natural landscape. Continuing along the old coastal road, Paphos imposing dominates in front of us to visit the church and the column where the Apostle Paul was flogged.Free time for shopping or eating in the picturesque alleys with the beautiful fish taverns or to tour the city which UNESCO has designated as a Cultural Heritage Monument.Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: LIMASSOL-LEKOSIA
After breakfast we drive to Nicosia, the long-suffering capital of Cyprus, with the first stop being the Mound of Makedonitissa Military Cemetery. Here lie buried officers and soldiers who fell defending Cyprus during the invasion in 1974.The tour continues to the Prisoner's Memorials, where the cemetery within the prison is located, where the 9 EOKA fighters executed by the British are buried. It is open to the public and is an important symbol of Cypriot history.Then a tour of the Venetian walls of Old Nicosia, the popular neighbourhood and the green line that divides the only capital in Europe with a dividing wall. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: LIMASSOL-LARNACA-THESSALONIKI
Breakfast and departure to Larnaca airport, where depending on the flight one can use the free time for shopping in the airport or optionally make an excursion to Agia Napa, Dherynia and the occupied territories in the Famagusta region.Return Thessaloniki with the best of impressions.
